Whether unpacking valves & pumps is part of your regular maintenance programme or an unscheduled necessary response to leakage failure, it is often a difficult or time consuming task.
Traditional methods of unpacking can often result in valve stem / stuffing box damage, leading to costly production down time losses.
The Gee Graphite high pressure Water-Jet based System operating at 18,000 psi ( 1225 bar ) provides safe, fast and economic removal of Graphite seals, as packings often become worn and dry resulting in extremely hard and dense material, leaving the metallic components totally clean and undamaged. Using microbursts of focused water-jet at high pressure, it is particularly effective where Asbestos is known to be present as the water based system eliminates hazardous airborne dust particles.
This equipment is designed for totally safe use by a single operator, and is so portable and efficient that the unpacking of 20 – 30 valve per day is not uncommon.
